A journal of my exploration of close-ups of plants
Closeups of plants, mostly flowers and seeds.
A water colorist and a photographer have collaborated to produce this book of plant illustrations. Susan’s lens and milly’s brush approach the same subject in very different ways. Susan’s quest is for that one arresting feature, while milly strives to document the whole plant. The book presents 16 species, providing commentary on the history of each one, followed by a water-color illustration and a photograph.
